Dental Audio Notes effortlessly provides complete, immediate and exact records of patient consultations by secure audio recording. Delivering this mission relies on the responsible handling, processing and management of data. We classify the data we handle into two categories: account information and customer content.
We define account information as information about a customer or user that a customer or user provides to us in connection with the creation or administration of an account. For example, account information includes names, usernames, email addresses, and place of work associated with a customer account or user credentials.
We define customer content as the audio, text or other data created by users when using the Dental Audio Notes application and services. We have no control of the information that is captured within this data, and always consider it to be highly personal, sensitive and confidential patient information.
The following principles apply to all data handled by Dental Audio Notes and serves as our code of conduct:
We use data already in the public domain provided by official providers where possible, only collecting additional data when essential for a feature to function. Data is stored for as long as it is required for a function to operate effectively.
We make it easy to understand what data we collect, how it’s used and why. Being transparent means making this information readily available, understandable and actionable.
We handle all data as private and confidential. When people use our products they trust us with the highly personal, sensitive and confidential information of their patients. The same respect is extended to the data of our users. We will never sell data to anyone. We will only ever provide data for use by a third party if enforced by law.
Managing highly personal, sensitive and confidential patient information requires the highest levels of data protection. To keep every Dental Audio Notes product and service secure for our users and their patients, we implement the most effective security technologies available. We constantly strengthen our security technologies to detect and protect against evolving online threats, before they ever reach our users.
The customer content generated by our users using our products and services is available only to authorised users. It is not available to anyone in the Dental Audio Notes organisation in an accessible format. All customer content is secured as soon as it is created and only ever unencrypted on user’s devices as it is required.
