Governance Overview
As a healthcare provider you are a data controller of personal sensitive data.
To support the responsibilities you already comply with in your day-to-day operations as much as we possibly can, we have:
- Our Governance Overview, to cover your due diligence obligations in respect of our product
- A Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) which is mostly complete, requiring minor adaption for your practice specifics
- Built all of the necessary terms into our standard EULA allowing you to merely review and sign these without having to make any changes;
In ensuring that your use of our solution is fully compliant you should also:
- Update your patient privacy information to highlight the use of DAN
- Ensure that you update your records to reflect the use of DAN
- Ensure that you are able to recognise subject rights requests and personal data breaches and understand how to use the right DAN tools for these purposes
Data Security
Data security is central to ensuring privacy.
Our Cyber Essentials certification and Data Security and Protection Policy demonstrates our public commitment to this.
In summary:
- Only you, and users you authorise, can decrypt audio and text annotation data - even the Dental Audio Notes team has no way of decrypting this data
- Data is always encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS, securing data in transit
- Data in our servers are encrypted using AES-256 encryption, securing data at rest
- All data is stored in the UK, no data ever leaves the UK
